After reading an article from a Red Lion person regarding the school tax problem in this area, and responding to her e-mail address, I was directed to a statewide school tax elimination group that is meeting at the end of September with tax groups from all over the state to try to come up with a statewide plan to present to the legislators prior to the next election for action on school tax elimination in favor of an increase in state sales tax to fund education.

After speaking to their point man for about an hour, I was convinced that their hopes could be turned into reality. He told me that all they needed from the public was a genuine interest to solve the problem and a little pressure on each areas local politicians, after the plan was submitted to them in workable form, to effect a change in the system.
These politicians now realize that after the last election their jobs are on the line.This needs to be done now. For those of you who want, need, wish for, or would just like to be involved, all you need do is go to WWW.PTCC.US and add your e-mail -- one minute of your time now, says to Harrisburg, "Get it done!"
