Bring back industry
You know, as I read about Codo and other "redevelopment plans" for our beautiful city, my rational thoughts have come back full force. The old York Auto parts building will bring 30 jobs to the city, according to the Sunday business section.
Thirty?! Thats it?!! You really have to be kidding me.

An eight and some change million dollar project, and that's all we get out of it? How about this idea -- burn down the baseball field, rebuild the Greybill building and bring back INDUSTRY!
As I watch unions destroy Harley slowly but surely, and I am sure most people remember losing Caterpillar, someone in our political and economical offices must realize that we are running out of options.
Jobs leave to go somewhere a little more positive about forward movement, or somewhere cheaper to live. As a flooring installer, and struggling artist, I have looked miles around to find somewhere to live on my own. Maybe the Pullman Building? No. One hundred and fifty thousand, and Sherman never heard of renting. How about on the same idea on Maryland Avenue? $1,100 a month.
So what have we done? Thought backwards. Bring industry back, then rebuild a place so beautiful to live that you have to have a great job to afford it. Bring an arts district in. Turn this town back into the beautiful place I remember living in when I was a kid.
Bring back the jobs, before we fall out like Allentown.
