Political motive

| | Comments (5)

I believe Mitrick and Kilgore should be made to repay the taxpayers all monies, including legal fees, that they wasted on their "pet" project Lauxmont Farms. They both can afford it, the county taxpayers cannot.

There has to be a political motive behind this, not just to clear the record before the end of their terms. They do not have the do-gooder reputation.

Sadly, you don't know what you are talking about. Their "pet" project would have benefitted us and future generations. The opponents of the project want MONEY above all else. Chronister wants development, the Kohrs want MONEY and more MONEY. Reilly wants a job where he doesn't have to work, and Hoke, who knows, but he wants what cuz Chronister wants.

Marie.. I was an opponent of this project and you know what, your right. I did oppose it because of MONEY. The money I worked hard for!!!! Taxes are high enough let alone trying to support a new park that isn't needed. For my tax dollar I am quite content with Sam Lewis park.

Matt, you should have SUPPORTTED the project if it is just about the money! If you think taxes are high now, just wait until you put 800 homes on this site, with all the amenities that go along with a large development. You really don't think that a mere 800 new home is going to cover the 75 MILLION that will be needed to build the new schools that ae going to be needed to support the families?? the teachers that will be needed to keep class sizes down>? I would rather pay $60-$100,000 a year for park maintainence, that cost spread out over the entire county, than the millions that will have to come from one school district/municipality's taxes

Also BTW -
The great view from Sam Lewis will be changing - to that nice housing development thatsgoing in........

If it is about the money, taxes will go UP with development of that land. Look at New Jersey. The park would have been cheaper in the long run.
