Thanks for support
To the patrons of the Northeastern Community Independence Day Celebration, hosted by Strinestown Community Fire Company and held on the property on Canal Road June 30, 2007, the Fire Company would like to thank you for your support. We realize that there were a few glitches with parking and traffic issues. This was a new site for us and we are working diligently to correct them for next year’s event. We are also looking at a more definitive start time for the fireworks as well as a stated time at which we close the gates to parking. This will hopefully insure that everyone will be able to get in to park and enjoy the show.

More importantly, the Fire Company would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the community, as well as those who attended from outside the local community, for the substandard fireworks display. Those in the community who have attended the Independence Day Celebration in the past know that our fireworks displays have been among the most spectacular of any in the area. The Fire Company has always prided itself in that fact. The most recent fireworks display has been a major disappointment to the Fire Company, especially for the money that was paid for them. In our disappointment, we feel that we have disappointed the community. Plans have already begun for our 2008 event. Rest assured that rectifying the fireworks issue is at the top of our priority list.
Strinestown Community Fire Company would also like to take this opportunity to thank not only the community for supporting the Fire Company and attending the event, but also the local businesses who contributed to the event. Your generous contributions helped to make this event possible. Special thanks to the 2007 Municipal Sponsors, Conewago and Newberry Townships, and Manchester and York Haven Boroughs. We hope that next year every municipality in Northeastern School District will help support this celebration for the community.
Strinestown Community Fire Company asks for your patience and understanding as we begin planning for next year’s event. We are striving to make this event a huge success, not just for the Fire Company, but for the Northeastern community.
