Hats off from MEMH

On behalf of the residents and Board of Directors, I would like to extend sincere appreciation to everyone who helped and supported the Margaret E. Moul 3rd Annual Quilt and Craft Auction on Saturday, September 28th at the 4-H Center.

A special thank you goes to over 40 friends, family, churches, and community organizations who donated more than 150 items which were auctioned. Without their donations, the event would not have been possible. Special recognition needs to go to the Sertoma Club of York who made the BBQ chicken dinners, and Patmos Lodge of Hanover who provided additional refreshments for everyone who attended the event.

Thanks to our sponsors the Home was able to do additional advertising this year. Those sponsors were Snyder's Vacuum & Sewing, Glatfelter Insurance Group, Fulton Bank, Bank of Hanover, Gentzler & Smith Associates, Inc., Morgan Collins Realtors, Richard D. Poole, LLC, and Print O Stat Fast Copy Center of Hanover. The Framers of York donated the framing for the P. Buckley Moss print. Appreciation also goes to Turkey Hill, Giants, Brewskees of Shiloh, and Roaring Springs for their donations and to 39 area businesses who advertised in the Event Program.

Although the event raised over $14,800 of its $15,000 goal, the Home feels this year's fund raiser was another huge success - both in proceeds and attendance. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Home's Wheelchair Fund to provide funds for repairs to and purchases of the residents' only means of mobility - their wheelchair. Again, heartfelt gratitude is extended to all the supporting businesses and contributors of our community.
