Increasing bias
How often do we hear about the "objectivity" of the main stream media, it's neutral positions and lack of an agenda? My skepticism in recent years has grown by leaps and bounds as I note the increasing bias in the news and in particular, our own home town newspaper, The York Daily Record.
In the last few months we have been treated to multi page stories extolling the virtues of unwed mothers, the glories of homosexuality and the tribulations of brave illegal aliens. This weekend we were treated to front page stories of a bar owner holding a political rally for a comedian and a haunted house in Wrightsville.
Rush Limbaugh raised over $4,000,000 for the families of the bravest and most selfless members of our society (MILITARY) and not a peep. Your omission speaks volumes!

It's interesting to note that half of that donation was Rush Limbaugh's own money.
What is much more interesting to note is that the letter he donated was in response to this cowardly chickenhawk's disparagement of our uniformed military folks. He ducked out of his war, but he doesn't think very highly of those who don't duck their responsibilities to the United States.
I'm glad to see that there is at least one other person willing to speak out against the BIAS. The media is happy to report "opinion" as news, that is anything but fair and balanced. I see "Dave" in his comments doesn't get the "Whole" story and doesn't know that Rush made a comment about a phoney soldier reaping the benefits from the hard work and sacrifice of the real soldier. IF Dave was getting fair and balanced reporting he would have known that. Rush offered up a matching bid before even knowing the cost.(the auction of the hate letter from Harry Reid and others) Hats off to Rush who even tho he wasn't discrediting the troops, put his money where his mouth is.
All the money in the world would not make up for the hateful venom that spews from Rush Limbaugh's mouth every day.
I've never listened to Mr. Limbaugh, but I think he showed a great amount of class and smarts in auctioning off that letter. I want to know why the Senate was wasting time and my money on writing that letter to him.
Elizabeth, I have seen and heard plenty of venom coming from the liberal side and from the celebrities. But, they're still praised for their generosity, etc.

I did my twenty years in the military for this country. Rush did not one thing for this country except work to divide folks. By the way, how many years did you put in, or are you another chickenhawk?
The Rushster is an obese Oxy junkie whose shtick is clearly not news, but either unintended comedy, or poorly reasoned and factually flawed commentary. The "liberal media bias" is real, a result of journalists being generally better educated and informed than most of their intended audience.

I read your recent comment on the article about partisianship. As I recall, you said something to the effect that discussions should be about issues, but they usually turn into jabs at other people. One only has to read your comments to see that this is true.

I pity anyone who is so blinded by hatred/resentment/political bias that he/she can not acknowledge a generous act of charity.
Seldom is there a single donation to any charity in excess of $4,200,000, half of which comes from a single individual. It is not necessary to love the giver in order to admire, (or at least respect), the gift!
I just wonder how many of the above posters have taken a moment to learn anything at all about the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation.
