Not my statistics?

I do not intend to get into a protracted debate with Edward Waxman
concerning gun control, it would be a complete waste of time, Mr. Waxman
lives in a world where all you need to control crime is to pass another law
restricting the rights of the law-a-biding. I have found that you can't
reason with people that live there. I live in the real world where the
definition of a criminal is someone who would not obey the law Mr. Waxman
would want passed.

Mr. Waxman rants that the statistics he used were not his, and that he
"can't vouch for their accuracy", but he used them in an attempt to deceive
readers into believing that more police officers are killed by firearms than
by any other means, which is not true. And now he attacks me for pointing
that out.

One point Mr. Waxman and I can agree on is the goal should be to reduce the
number of death by both causes, but that will not be achieved by restricting
the rights of citizens.
