Strand exposure

Kudos to Bill Swartz and the Strand Capital for taking the initiative to listen to the under 45 crowd and bring better programming to the Strand for this age group.

I recently attended the Strand's showing of the movie Waitress and I agree with Mr. Swartz when he stated that once people have been exposed to the beauty of the Strand, they will fall in love with it and want to see it prosper for years to come. The Strand is part of our history and we need to do everything we can to support it and ensure its viability. There is programming room for everyone and I would 100% support this initiative Mr. Swartz is recommending.

As one of the previous readers just mentioned, the Strand-Capitol Complex is part of the fabulous history of York, and with the recent renovations, it is a beauty to behold....And on that note, a lot of entertainers would welcome coming to such a fantastic venue to perform, and this would also help the restaurant and club owners downtown bring in customers to their places of business....So many people would be going to Baltimore, Philadelphia and places like that for entertainment, when they could be right there in York. I actually saw several friends of mine from York at a event in Harrisburg last Monday evening.....lets bring York back to its musical roots with some live entertainment again, thanks for your time....

Don't forget us Old School types who are ga-ga for the singer-songwriters hwo you'll hear only on Penn's 'XPN, now on the air as WZXM at 88.7. We can only take so much hip-hop, dance music and other abominations which have evolved since the Age of Aquarius.
