Term limits
Most Pennsylvania politicians owe their ascendency to public office to big contributors who deny they want favors in return for their generosity who contend the money is given without strings attached. We believe this along with Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy and UFOs.

On election day we have the unenviable choice in both parties of voting for too many shyster lawyers who have the financial means to run while employing associates to baby sit their private practices back home freeing them to fleece the flock from their Harrisburg branch office. For us to believe they have the public's best interest in mind is to ignore the yearly dance around the eliminating the property tax and reducing the bloated numbers in the legislature.
We voters seem to have a self flagellation mentality since we return many of the same shiftless faces to office every election. Those opposed to term limits might consider how much time their representatives spend working for their re-election, an effort which commences right after the swearing in ceremonies. Wouldn't it be refreshing if they were limited to one term so they could devote their full time to serving their constituents. This would also cut down the learning time of how to best pick our pockets. Term limitation might be our last chance for real representation and forestall the shovels and pitchforks solution to the problem.
