O'Reilly attacks

When you see a sign demonstrating support a particular presidential candidate, whose name is on it? When you see a bumper sticker, a pamphlet tacked up on a random bulletin board, or look up the ‘08 race on the internet, whose name is plastered everywhere? Ron Paul.

What’s going on? Why is mainstream media downplaying the ENORMOUS support that Ron Paul is getting?

Could it be that people like Bill O'Reilly feel threatened by the internet and have begun attacks such as the one last Sunday? Bill doesn’t care about the “poor” celebrities whose privacy has been invaded. It was a way to shift the focus from the continuous attrition of our civil rights by comparison to something completely unrelated. The government isn’t putting celebrity bodies on magazines. It’s apples and oranges. To compare wire taps to paparazzi is laughable.

He says: “The rise of the computer age means many freedoms are under assault. . . . evildoers are defaming, demeaning and embarrassing their fellow countrymen . . . to call them sewers is to insult garbage.” He then calls on congress to enact new laws and tort reform to stop this “internet madness.”

Who are the evildoers? What fellow countrymen? Information is readily available on the internet, and it comes from individuals, not corporations. It’s easy to see why O’Reilly would want to Neo-Con you into staying off of the ‘net.

The suggestion that the internet’s content should be monitored or controlled in any way by our government is a direct attack on free-thinking. Internet control will only lead to more “brainwashing” of the “sheeple.” I guarantee you that this will be the next step in the NeoCon-artist’s agenda.

Without the web, we would be living 1984 by George Orwell, since we already have the other aspects: perpetual war, rationing (oil), and torture.

Bill O'Reilly is a sideshow idiot for people too dumb and lazy to think straight, and Ron Paul is a wholly unelectable nutcase whose support is evidence of the lack of any viable GOP candidate.
