Home Tour successful

| | Comments (0)

The members of the York Twinning Association want to express our gratitude to those in the greater York Community who participated in the 2008 Twelfth Night Holiday Home Tour. This year's attendance was the highest in the 20 year history of the event! We are certain the combination of spectacular homes and fabulous January weather were catalysts for the turnout.

We also want to thank our sponsors, volunteers, the staff of York Country Day School for their hospitality and, most importantly, those who graciously opened their homes for all to see.

Additionally, the staffs of the York Daily Record and the York Dispatch are due a tip of the chapeau for their part in telling the story of the tour. As they reported, the proceeds will fund activities for student exchanges with Arles, France and Leinfelden-Echterdingen as well as this year’s cultural exchange with Arles – a relationship that is in its 54th year.

We invite you to welcome the Arlesians with us this summer, and mark your calendars for the next Twelfth Night Holiday Home Tour on January 4, 2009!
