Common sense driving

| | Comments (1)

Driving today (Tuesday) in the poor-visibilty conditions, I am constantly amazed that drivers show so little common sense by driving without any lights on. I'd like to remind everyone that it is now the law in PA that if you need to use your wipers you are required to also use your lights for safety. Plus, not doing so is really just plain stupid - I witnessed several near-misses directly attributable to approaching vehicles not being seen and someone pulling out in front of them.

I'd also like to admonish area police departments to step up enforcement in this area. It is a simple flick of the switch which can save lives. Come on, people, think at least a little bit when you get behind the wheel!

You really think police are going to enforce this one too? They don't even enforce the basics like littering, speeding, or driving in the left lane. Come on, we've got 3500 laws on the books, most of which never get enforced until it serves someone's personal adgenda.
