Merger plans dropped

I would like to thank the Mount Wolf Borough Council for thinking through the proposed merger with East Manchester Township. I know that a lot of study and thought had to go into their decision. The local news media was apparently in favor of the merger as evidenced by recent editorials. However, the Council members appear to have done their homework as they voted not to go ahead with the project. I think that majority of the home owners in the Borough would have voted in the same manner.
