Family thankful for successful rescue

| | Comments (0)

On March 1, 2008 my father in law, whom has dementia, wandered off into the woods around 1 a.m. To my family's dismay he had been out in the cold in excess of seven hours and all resources had been exhausted.

Then a ray of hope from Lancaster County called Summit Search and Rescue brought with them a female bloodhound who found my father-in-law in a matter of minutes. She really was the hero of the day!

With that being said I am very happy to hear that York County has a new addition to the force named Lou.I hope this little puppy fairs well on all searches for young and old alike. On behalf of the Mitzel family we would like to thank everyone involved in the successful rescue of my father-in-law.
