Pa. Dept. of Ed ignored facts

| | Comments (0)

The article in the York Daily Record regarding the connection of two York City School Officials, Mr. Jeff Kirkland, and Dr. Teresa Diggs, with Mission Home Education and Counseling Services, a private for-profit Alternative School in York, clearly shows a conflict of interest. Their influence, directly or indirectly, on matters effecting Mission Home was a natural consequence of their Executive/Leadership positions within the District, and their widely known connection with Mission Home. To state otherwise is mere bunkum.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education chose to ignore these facts. Why? Perhaps they have a dual standard for review: One for so-called minority businesses, and another for all the rest.
