Term limits

| | Comments (0)

Owing to the advancements in genetics and health care, I believe it is time to begin a Constitutional amendment to limit the terms, to maybe 50 or 60 years, of all future judges and justices whose offices would otherwise be "lifetime" appointments in the current Constitution.
Lifetime appointments will become a problem if any judge lives to be well over 100 but refuses to resign, whether he or she can still perform the job properly, or not. No sense in waiting until there is such a problem.
