York's own Parking Wars
Monday I received a parking ticket, while dropping my 4-year-old son off at his babysitter. This was absurd and I’ll tell you why. It takes 30 seconds to ring the door bell and drop him off. The meter maid was sitting in her car just waiting for me to get out. I rang the door bell and looked back at my car to find her writing a parking ticket. I began to explain I’m only dropping my son off and I will be leaving, she said "not my problem."

Can somebody please tell me why I am being charged $15 when you can drive down any of the Avenues any time of day in York city and witness double parking that blocks traffic because they're too lazy to park. The York city police can drive right past this kind of behavior and ignore it?

Welcome to York City. The motto should be to heck with the drug dealers and gangs, that would be discrimating against minorities, we will go after the working folks.
The "No" in "No Parking" means never, for any length of time and applies to you. Shut up already and learn to obey simple rules.
Thank you, Jeff. I get so tired of hearing people complain about getting tickets or being towed because they either can't read the "no parking for street sweeping", or don't park here because you'll get towed" signs, or can't put a quarter in the meter, , because these signs apparently, don't apply to them. Take some responsibility people!
