Twinkie ban next?

I'd like to address the proposed smoking ban in city parks by Mayor Brenner. First of all I'd like to say that I'm a nonsmoker and have never been a smoker at any time in my life. I find it to be a filthy disgusting habit that I can't stand to be around. That having been said I would urge Mayor Brenner to mind his own business.

Smoking is a perfectly legal adult activity in this country the last time I checked. I think this is still supposed to be a free country isn't it? I just find it so comical how Democratic politicians like Brenner always seem to think they have to try and restrict peoples freedom to make their own choices. How in the world did the children of York ever survive without him to protect them from that nasty old second hand smoke for the last 300 years.

What's the next thing your going to propose to ban in city parks to protect our kids? How about next we work on a junk food ban in city parks. As we all know childhood obesity is becoming a chronic problem for many children in York City. So it just stands to reason that the Mayor should put a Twinkie ban in effect at all city parks. After all our politicians always know what best and have to protect us from ourselves.

Mayor forget about wasting taxpayer dollars to control peoples smoking habits and get a few more cops on the streets to deal with York's crime problems.

Drinking is legal if you're over 21.. but you can't have any alcohol in parks, let alone any open container "in public." Yet you don't see alcohol consumres crying about this.

Maybe the alcohal drinkers
should complain about the ban. We are taking too much
from politians and other do-gooders restricting
our lives at every turn.
I don't think it should be law to wear a seatbelt, but I do. Why do we have to turn on headlights
in the daylight if using
windshild wipers or driving
in a construction zone. What the Hell good do headlights do in the daylight? It's just another way to be able to fine us, it's not about our safety. You know what
politians, my safety is none of your damn business, and it's time
you got harrassed the way you are harrassing the
public.
