PP scourge of our times
In "letters To The Editor," On June 25th, Statistics are being quoted that are supposed to prove all the good that Planned Parenthood is doing. I beg to differ! Planned Parenthood is the scourge of our times. It is Barbaric to promote killing babies. Planned Parenthood encourages "Free Sex" by providing contraceptives to young people encouraging them to explore and make choices in areas they have very little real understanding about and control over. Hollywood doesn't help matters for with hormones raging, young people seek to satisfy their needs, forgetting about self-respect, self-control and a complete understanding of all that is involved.

But thanks to Planned Parenthood they can get abortions and contraceptives with out parental approval - so much for family life and trust.
The letter states that 38% of it's services were for contraceptives, 29% were for diagnosis and treatment of STD'S - well - if young people were abstaining STD'S would not be a problem. Apparently the 38% of contraceptives being handed out are not always being used?
There is a huge difference between love and sex. Love is concerned with one's partner and is always looking out for what is best for that partner. Sex alone on the other hand is concerned with self-gratification and very little concern for the welfare of one's partner!
The 3% of the abortions being performed at Planned Parenthood amounts to thousands upon thousands of dead fetus's. Females especially young females have to go into counseling for years to learn to forgive themselves for the life that they allowed to be taken from them.
So Planned Parenthood can toot it's horn all is wants - that will not appease it's conscience. Statistics are cold and unfeeling, we are dealing with human beings.
Charity and respect for individuals does not permit me to tell Planned Parenthood what they can do with their statistics.

Prissiness is what does not permit you to tell Planned Parenthood what it can do with its statistics. Ignorance is what does not permit you to understand those statistics. Stupidity and dogmatism are what do not permit you to care that you do not understand those statistics. You really ought to learn how to think and write before you submit your next comment.

ah, another diatribe from those "christian" right wingers who despise the pragmatic( that's practical to you) approach Planned Parenthood takes, and yet THEY never step forward to adopt all those unwanted, un-aborted babies. easy for them to sit back and bitch and moan about terminating a pregnancy, but try putting "the shoe on the other foot"- just like too many puppies sit in shelters and die, too many kids sit in foster homes, unwanted, and abandoned, or worse, live with mothers who abuse, ignore, and abandon. better they should not come into this miserable world in the first place than to suffer the lives they lead, often turning into kids of the streets who grow up without values or education to become a danger to society.
if you are not wiling to adopt and be part of the solution, shut the hell up about those who have an answer for the woman who can't handle having the child. at least they have the courage to let it go.
