Untold stories

In her recent letter to the editor, Planned Parenthood official Suellen Craig states that only 3 percent of the services provided by Planned Parenthood nationwide in 2006 involved abortion. However, there are a few untold stories behind that statistic. Even supporters of legal abortion are calling Planned Parenthood the Wal-Mart of abortions because of its brisk abortion business. While abortion totals are declining nationwide, the number of abortions at Planned Parenthood facilities are on the rise.

Planned Parenthood's national chief, Cecile Richards, has said she wants more Planned Parenthood centers to perform abortions. And what happens following those abortions? Women such as those who make up the group Silent No More tell of their silent suffering after abortion -- infertility, depression, even suicide attempts. And then there are the thousands of unborn women who die each year as a result of abortion -- their stories are hidden, but need to be told as well.

"Unborn women"? Boy, are you reaching. The word is "embryo". A "woman" is an ADULT female. I don't think anyone has ever given birth to one of those.

If you don't like abortion, don't have one. But keep your hands off the LEGAL right of other women to do so.
