Forced acceptance
Josh Hobbs' seemed a bit upset, in his July 6th letter, with Robert Ritchies assertion that the most important issue in the upcoming elections is Homosexual Marriage. He argued poorly however when he said that "homosexuals marrying 3000 miles away" basically don't affect the rest of the country. This indicates either a gross naiveté or a refusal to see the reality which is engulfing our country.

First of all there is no law that prohibits citizens of other states from traveling to California to get married, then returning home to states like Pennsylvania. This represents a moral and practical dilemma for those who oppose homosexual "marriage".
If you don't believe me ask Crystal Dixon. She is the former Associate Vice President of Human Resources at the University of Toledo. She is also an African American who was recently fired from her job. Why? Because she wrote a letter to the editor saying it was inaccurate to compare the homosexual movement to the civil rights movement. She was born black, she argued, but homosexuals have a choice.
Like Mrs. Dixon, numerous justices of the peace in Massachusetts also lost their jobs when they refused, based on problems of conscience, to solemnize same-sex "marriages." It didn't matter that there were other justices who would "marry" them.
The most striking example however is Jon and Elaine Huguenin, owners of Elane Photography in New Mexico. They were fined $6,000 by the New Mexico Human Rights Commission for refusing to photograph a homosexual "commitment ceremony." It didn't matter that the Huguenins were Christian, nor that we supposedly live in a country that boasts of freedom of religion.
The list goes on...
This is not just about marriage, it's about the forced acceptance of unnatural vice and it does affect all of America, including Pennsylvania.

Another writer propagating the lie that gays somehow "choose" to be gay. It IS the way they are born, and they'll tell you just that if you bother to listen. However, the "Christian" bigots DO choose to proclaim Christianity. That's the unnatural thing.

If that is the way they are born then why is it that many go on to become straight and lead normal lives through therapy. It doesn't matter what they say, they are not born that way.

Two San Diego firefighters were suspended for refusing to march in a gay pride parade, providing another example of how gay activists are trampling religious liberty.
I will consider your argument Lowell when you identify the "gay gene." And once again you resort to personal attacks-just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a liar.
