Proud to show the flag
I'd like to thank the group that distributed flags to every home on my street. It was a nice surprise when I woke up . As the day went on, I couldn't help but notice how few flags were flown at individual homes. I seem to remember a time after 9-11, when almost every home, and car had a flag flying almost all year long. The country had so much pride and energy to show the world, we weren't going to be beaten.

I know we have fallen on some hard times; however its no reason to become complacent, we are still the same Americans, we still have the same pride in the Red White and Blue and we should be proud to show it. We should also write our representatives and let them know that we want them to take a stand on protecting our flag and English as our national language and put it in concrete. As I see it, congress has not taken an affirmative stand on this issue. I'm personally tired of seeing everything in Spanish.
This is supposed to be America and we need to protect it like our forefathers did. I am also annoyed by everthing having to be politically correct, it seems to put a wedge in what few enjoyments in life we have.
