Okay to split vote
This fall the 19th District will decide whether or not we will be sending Todd Platts back to Washington. I voted for Congressman Platts as well as George Bush in 2000 and I voted for Congressman Platts again 2002.
Looking back at The Bush/Platts record I would like to point out their accomplishments. The US went to war for the first time in it's history without raising taxes. Our National Debt has grown from 5 Trillion dollars to 9 trillion dollars. An American City, New Orleans was abandoned by it's government for an entire week during a significant disaster. A weak dollar policy has helped high oil prices rise even higher. Under their watch, a the subprime mortgage policy was allowed to blossom and ravage the real estate market significantly effecting, in an extremely negative way, what is for many American's their largest financial asset. The real estate downturn was so complete it effected those people who were financially responsible and avoided a subprime loan.

We have allowed a rising foreign power, China, to buy up billions of dollars of our debt by not properly financing our war in Iraq ourselves. We have thereby given them what many refer to as a "financial nuclear bomb" capable of destroying our economy should they decide to dump that debt on the world market. Don't kid yourselves thinking they need us as their biggest "customers", China is still a communist government, they are capable of anything.
We are about to see the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the world to foreign oil producing countries in the next ten years.
I am definitely not voting to send Todd Platts back to Washington. York County is Republican country, I hope others realize it's OK to split their vote and send Phil Avillo to Washington, even if they vote for John McCain.

So what does this whole "China thing" have to do with either Todd Platts or Phil Avillo?
