The need to lie
Do we really need another administration whose ticket to the White House is based on lies? Are we Americans that stupid as to believe every slanderous and deceitful email, news report, or editorial? If you caught someone lying to you, wouldn't you think twice about believing them a second time? Remember the WMD story that got us into Iraq?
The so called "conservatives" have the resources to control much of the mass media such as Fox news and most of AM talk radio. We were taught that the communists use brain washing and propaganda to control the masses. That is exactly what the extreme right is doing. They count on the theory that if you hear the same lie repeated enough times, it will become your truth.

They hate the intelligentsia because they are the part of the population inclined to examine the lies and seek the truth. Today I read a letter to the editor by Susan Karlovich. It was titled "Black liberation theology worrisome." It went on to to attack Sen. Obama for embracing BLT while attending Jeremiah Wright's church. The letter was fraught with blatent untruths and misrepresentations such as "According to Wikapedia, BLT originated in South America and stems from a godless, Marxist humanist philosophy" and then goes on to state "BLT is a complete antithesis of Christiananity."
I challenge you to look it up for yourself and compare what was in the letter to what is written in Wikapedia. Perhaps the next time you open that email about Obama on taxes or whatever, decide to just not blindly forward it, but go to snopes.com and other resources to see what they have to say.
In order to make a good decision about the next administraton, or anything for that matter, don't go on just what you hear or read, but investigate other sources and think for yourself.
