We need Phil

Congressman Todd Platts supports privatizing Social Security. That's the wrong position to take on such an important issue. Imagine if Social Security were tied to the fluctuations of a volatile stock market! Can you imagine the anxiety caused to millions of seniors worrying how much their monthly check would shrink because the Dow Jones dropped 300 points in a week?

In this trickle-down economy, older Americans deserve a congressman who looks after their best interests -- not a career politician who aids and abets the radical right-wing policies of the neo-cons.

Fortunately, this year we have a candidate who believes protecting Social Security is a must. His name is Phil Avillo. He has strong roots in York County. He served on the York Suburban School board. He's a combat-wounded Marine who fought, bled and almost died for his country. He's the kind of person we need in Washington.

Juast because someone was a wounded combate experienced Marine doesnt make him a prime candidate! If thats teh case why do the Dems oppose McCain?

You're mixing apples and oranges. Mr. Avillo's war experiences have matured his views into reasonable and concerned attitudes that will help the American people. McCain's experiences have only resulted in help for Big Oil and Big Money. His choices for running mates also leaves his judgment in major question.

As for Mr. Platts, his rigid adherence to the Bush agenda for so many years already tells us how flawed his judgment is.
