Perks of the job

One of the cool aspects of being a journalist is this: We get to wear many hats.

Sometimes we have to wear hard hats to cover a story at a work site.

Other times, we don hair nets and disposable gowns when at the hospital.

And other-other times, we are offered — and accept — headphones dating back to the 1960s.

Reporter Lauren Boyer joins a trio of paranormal consultants in their quest to detect otherworldly noises and voices in audio they recorded two weeks ago.

Lauren and photographer Kate have been working on this “ghost hunters” story for the past few weeks. I was assigned to their “engineering” session earlier this week because it didn’t fit into Kate’s schedule, but you can absolutely look forward to Lauren’s article and Kate’s video and photos later!
