Farm Cats

I drew the lucky straw at work today and while everyone else was chasing fires I was hanging out on a beautiful farm in York Township. Sally and Casey Barnes raise horses and like any real farm, they are inundated with random cats. Eight to be exact. Most were just left by people who found or just didn’t want a cat anymore. Sally and Casey feed the cats who in turn pop up out of nowhere and bask in the sunlight purring. I love farm cats because ¬†they show up randomly all over the place and in my photos and it turns into a Where’s Waldo game only with cats. In this case, it would be Where’s Peanut? For convenience the Barnes call any cat on their property Peanut. That is awesome. The Barnes and Peanut(s) made my day.

Gorgeous light and friendly cats made for a fun afternoon of shooting.
