Fill 'er up now!

People are racing to gas stations to fill up today (today being Thursday) to beat the gouging sure to occur after Rita makes landfall. Three people urged me today to go top off the tank.
Speculation is gas prices could hit five bucks a gallon next week.
Just a side note, the major oil companies posted record profits earlier this year and have continued to make tons and tons of money.
So is it gouging or not?
I vote for gouging.
