U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Third Stall on the Right.

| | Comments (4)

You all have heard about the saga about Idaho Republican Sen. Larry Craig and his arrest in a men's room in Minneapolis.

Of course, it's a sordid tale, one rife with irony and hypocrisy -- a politician who publicly espouses family values and who was among those who pressed the impeachment of former President Bill "Bubba" Clinton is arrested for allegedly soliciting gay sex in an airport men's room.

That kind of thing is becoming almost routine. It's almost as if every politician who publicly espouses family values will soon be outed as gay or will be caught with hookers or something worse.

That's old hat. My favorite part of the story is that if Craig resigns, his replacement until the next election will be appointed by the governor of Idaho.

The governor of Idaho is a guy named -- seriously -- Butch Otter.

You can't make this stuff up.

Love the title!

Why is it that republicans go all apoplectic over sex scandals and say nothing about corruption and passing bills in the middle of the night that basically screw over most of the people in the country, pushing for a bogus premise about WMDs that leave untold thousands dead and wounded and yawning at the actions of an administration that is stripping away our rights. Maybe they should let their freaky thing fly and they wouldn't be such mean spirited trolls.

Polotics is overrated. Also, I loved your artilce in Monday's (9/3/07) YDR. That was brilliant.

Update: This Queer Foot Tapper wants to withdraw his resignation!!!! Queer Groups across the US are putting pressure on to keep this pole gobbler in office. There is nothing "gay" about being Queer, the term "gay" is a prostitution of the English language
