Irony is dead.

On Monday, President Dubya declared Oct. 1 Child Health Day.

On Wednesday, he vetoed a bill that would expand the State Child Health Insurance Program, which provides health care to children of working families that cannot afford health insurance or do not have it at work.

OK.

Irony may not be dead, but it certainly is bleeding pretty bad. And it doesn't have health insurance either.

This is a joke by Pres. Bush, right? If you belong to a working legal family and are citizens you can't get affordable health care but if you are an alien praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, the drivers licenses, the health care, and anything else we have to give them who don't deserve it!.....Am I awake or am I dreaming this, gee what a damn nightmare!!!

Mike, I'm glad you mentioned children and health care and irony. Have you ever noticed how the full moon makes your teeth vibrate? Try it!

An extra billion here, another 10 billion there, and pretty soon Medicaid won't be our largest multi-trillion dollar shortfall.
