The big news this week has been about a governor getting his freak on with expensive hookers and a former vice presidential candidate melting down after launching a racist attack against Democratic front-runner Barack Obama.
Meanwhile, this week, in Iraq, 13 more soldiers have been killed.
Thirteen more families mourning.
Thirteen more soldiers sacrificed for no good reason.
The death toll in Iraq now stands at 3,987.
Just thought you should know.

those soldiers (and all others) should be hailed as heroes! they are willing to lay down their life for you and anybody else that needs defending. The very least YOU can do is honor their memory by listing them by name and reminding everyone that these are real people and not just numbers.

How dare you reduce the sacrifice that these people made by reducing them to a 4 digit number? Why are you using them (not unlike President Bush) to prove a political point? These are people who no matter where they were(Iraq, Korea, the border between the U.S. and Mexico, or tim buk tu)volunteered to defend our constitution by following orders. They are people from every walk of life, every ethnicity, every religion, every kind of background you can imagine working together to do the one thing that we as individuals cant. No matter whether you or I agree about the politics partaining to where they died, none of us have the right to belittle their worth to us as a whole. Please show them one simple last respect and call them by name... not the number of their death.
