Sarah Palin on our impending depression

| | Comments (1)

Watch as Sarah Palin recites talking points in response to a question about the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street.

Apparently, handing $700 billion over to Wall Street has something to do with health care. It's not exactly clear. She's saying words, but they don't seem to be connected to each other. She clearly is the intellectual heir to our current president.

Only one comment: Oh. My. God.

To say that Sarah Palin is unprepared to be Vice President, much less President, is the understatement of the year. My goodness, I have more foreign policy experience than she does! I've traveled to Italy once, Mexico and Canada, and China twice! In the process of adopting my daughters I even had to interact with the Chinese government! Beats looking at Putin's incoming aircraft from the front porch!

I disagree with almost every single thing she believes in (at least what she's made public,) but it's not the disagreement that gets me the most. What gets me the most is that she exutes a vibe like "Barbie goes to the White House." She's got the look (the 'do, the glasses, and the pumps) and the chutzpah, but where's the substance behind it?

Perhaps she's enough of a distraction for McCain's lack of economic know-how for now. But if we can't see past this and elect this team I'm going to have some serious questions about the judgment of the American public.
