The Eagles are now the favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
How did that happen?
The Eagles still have to get by the Cards, in that crashed spaceship they call a stadium in the desert somewhere in Arizona.
Still, how did that happen?
Don't get me wrong. As an Eagles fan, I am grateful that the Birds have a shot. I never figured they'd get this far this season. I mean, just a few weeks ago, Donovan McNabb was on his way out of town and fans were ready to get rid of Andy Reid, with extreme prejudice.
It's just pretty amazing.
I was talking this over with a fellow Eagles' fan this morning and he said they're just setting us up for a more painful disappointment down the road.
Eagles fans. The glass not only is half full, it's got a few cracks in it and someone's going to use the jagged edges to remove our hearts.
Yes, we're optimists.

We moved back to York after 35 years in Philly and were 22 year 'Iggles season ticket holders(mostly the BAD years!)--it's great that Merle & Mike are on the radio here(albeit with a 7 sec. delay, which I personally like). Not much more can be said about this season in that it seems like a Higher Power has been with us especially with that Oakland/Tampa game FB the thrashing we gave Dallas--no matter what happens 2morrow in Ariz., I'll only be severely depressed IF WE LOSE!!!! By the way, why doesn't York get ANY of the award nominated movies(eg. Slumdog M., Milk,
Frost/Nixon, Rev. Rd., The Reader, etc.)-it's truly hysterical...
