A number of people have reported seeing strange lights in the skies around here.
Here are some photos that one of them, Dave Dietz of Jackson Township, took last summer.
I don't know what they are, but they certainly are weird.
Dear Mike, Its was with interest I read your article about UFO's in southern York county, in the York Daily Record, Friday March 27, 2009. I had a similar experence about 45 years ago when I lived in Philadelphia. It was around 9pm, what day I don't recall, I was walking home from the store when something caught my eye. High in the eastern sky I saw about 7 or more bright orange/red, round, objects scattered in the night sky. As I was looking at them I said to myself "what the h... is that". I stared at them for what seemed to be several minutes but was probably no more then around 5 or 6 seconds when all of a sudden, as if my mind was being read, they got into a "V" formation and danced toward the eastern sky into infinity. They went in the direction of the Deleware river into south Jersey. Of course this was a time when sighting if this kind went unreported due to criticism from most anyone. I shared this sighting with my wife, when I got home, and she suggested I keep this to myself. I guess she though I went off the deep end and would be carried away in a straight jacket if I told anyone about what I saw. You can now see why your article was of interest to me. Me and my friend were driving down 851, heading into Stewartstown when Out of nowhere these 2 rows of lights came flying over a field. At first we thought they were stealth planes!! haha Whatever they were, they were REALLY low. Im not POSSITIVE but they looked to be triangular w/ a row of lights on the rear. The lights were very bright. As they flew over us, they started comming closer to the ground. They had crossed into another field and started to look as if they were going to crash into eachother. My friend started flipping out. I told her to pull over (just incase4 there was going to be a plane crash) right as she was about to, they rose up alittle, nd DISAPEARED!! They had to have gone LIGHT SPEED to just BE GONE like that???!! It was the craziest thing ive ever seen in my life!!! Since then i do see other planes like it, but NEVER as up close and personal as that day. When we got home a friend said she had seem the planes but not seen them going down. I dont know wht to think of it? Do stealth planes fly about 50 feet above an average tall tree?? I really want to talk to people about it, but WHO IS GUNA ACTUALLY BELIEVE ME???? This story sounds nuts.
