Patrick Stewart, best known as Capt. Picard on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," was made a knight.

My favorite Stewart moment was in an episode of "The Simpsons," when he played the leader of the Stonecutters, a Mason-like cult. After a solemn ceremony to induct Homer into the Stonecutters, Stewart proclaimed, "Now let's all get drunk and play ping-pong!"
