The non-partisan Tax Foundation concludes that current taxes -- all taxes, from income taxes to property taxes to sales taxes -- are at the lowest level since 1959.
Food for thought.

Read the link you attached. It states the numbers are flawed. Also if you take some initiative to do some more research you'll find that the income tax burden has shifted dramatically over the last 40 years. So if the majority of citizens pay minimal amounts of the tax burden then the average American pays less taxes even though the total tax burden has increased dramatically. Beware the smoke and mirrors the administration is forcing on you.
