Looks like it's official, former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko will be fighting Hong Man Choi at Yarennoka! the New Year's Eve event in Japan.

Choi is best-known for the beating he recieved at the hands of pro wrestler-turned-MMA fighter Brock Lesnar, and for the sugery he endured to stave off his gigantism - the guy is 7'2" and 350 after all!

The fight has been rumored for weeks, with MMA purists decrying the match, saying Fedor's just fighting a can. We'll see. First of all, Fedor's going to have to ovecome a serious height and weight disadvantage - he's only 6' and 233 lbs.

But I'd be willing to bet those same people will tune in anyway, just to see what some have called the greatest heavyweight fighter in the world do what he does best.
