Looks like an MMA movie called "Never Back Down" will be out in March. And I gotta say, it's the Karate Kid all over again.
Here's how it goes ... new kid pulls into town, falls for beautiful girl who, you guessed it, is dating the biggest d--- at their high school. 'Course the d--- can fight, and beats the snot out of new kid.
New kid seeks some training, but instead of Mr. Miyagi and karate, we have Djimon Hounsou ("Gladiator", "Blood Diamond", "Amistad") as new kid's mentor, who runs an MMA dojo.
Beautiful girl falls for new kid because she's sympathetic over d--- beating him, and new kid beats d--- in their rematch. Yay. My only question is, will we see the return of "The Crane" and the evil Cobra Kai karate school?
