I don't know why I'm making a big deal out of this, maybe it's because The Karate Kid was huge when I was growing up. maybe it's because this is the first "major" movie about MMA. OK, so the story is cheesy, but if they have proper MMA techniques in it, it won't be so bad. Looks like Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond, Gladiator, Amistad) may be the only saving grace in the movie - in fact, I think he's the only guy who's ever BEEN in a movie before this one. Anyway, if anybody sees it, let us all know how it is, will ya? Thanks.
Sean Faris -- aka the loner who falls in love with the hot babe who's dating the school dick who beats up on the loner, who then finds a mentor who teaches him a deadly art that he then uses to kick the school dick's ass and win the heart of the hot babe -- hits the focus mitts with Djimon Hounsou.

That movie looks so stereotypical, but I'll still probably watch it for the beefcake factor. Just for some FYI, the "school dick" actor played Volchok, Marisa's boyfriend on the T.V. show "The O.C." who ran her and Ryan off the road, leading to her death.
Megan -- If beefcake is your thing, go for it. I should get a bunch of people from the office here to go see it as a goof. Kinda like what we did for Snakes on a Plane, where you know the movie's gonna be bad.
