by John Joe O'Regan of fightersonly magazine:
Young Dutch heavyweight Stefan Struve is being courted by the UFC and a number of other large MMA promotions.
Struve (22-2) told Fighters Only today that he and his coach Bob Schreiber have been discussing a deal with UFC executives.
"We're in talks but we didn't sign anything yet. We've got a couple of options so we are looking at the best one now," he said.
"We have also talked with both Dream and Affliction, so there will be a choice to make!"
On the subject of the UFC's heavyweight division, the tall Dutchman said: "If we go to the UFC, I think I can beat most of the guys there.
"They have five or six really good heavyweights. The other guys... not so good, I think."
Despite being just 20 years of age, Struve has gained plenty of international experience and has fought in Russia, the UK and Korea as well as his native Netherlands.
He is coming off a submission win over Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Mario 'Neto' Sukata, a UFC veteran who serves as BJJ coach to the Wolfslair fight team.
The back-mount arm-triangle win - Struve's second submission win over a BJJ black belt - has made talent scouts take notice, considering it is also the second UFC veteran he has beaten.
