Like I've said before, imagine this ...

In this ... the banquet hall at Wisehaven.
Just checked the state athletic commission Web site, and it confirms what I've been talking about for some time now - the first MMA event in the state, here in York County.
On the commission's calendar, for the date April 19, there is the entry, "MMA -Pro/AM," with the location, "Wisehaven Banquet Hall and Expo Center-York."
That would be Mark Jovich's Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge.
On Wednesday, Mark told me that as far as preparation for the event, "We're wrapping everything up. The frustration part's over. I think it's going to be really enjoyable."
This weekend, Jovich will get his first cage - he's already set up a cage-rental business when he's not using them - and said he and his crew will put it together and take it apart several times to make sure it's good to go.
As far as the card, Jovich said he's busy trying to finalize it, and he should have it on his Web site this weekend. He's had inquiries from across the country, he said.
"No injuries, nobody's hurt, nobody dropped off the card," he said. In fact, he's got around 70 fighters who he couldn't fit on this card who might get the chance in either June or July.
For the April 19 event, there are still a few VIP tickets left - that's the firts two rows around the cage and the mezzanine section. Click here to order.
