I spoke with Greg Sirb, executive director of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, on Tuesday, and he told me about some major events that could be happening in the Keystone State this year, now that MMA is legal.

Possibility number one is that Bellator Fighting Championships, a series of events to be shown on ESPN Deportes, will stage an event at the Bryce Jordan Center on April 24, to be broadcasted the next day.

Possibility number two is that the UFC will hold an event somwhere in the state, although Dana White has said Philly, before the end of the year. Sirb told me yesterday it could be Philly, or it could be Pittsburgh.
As with these and any other events, "We haven't scheduled anything yet," Sirb said.
