I wanted to let you all know the results of the competition this past weekend at the NAGA Submission Grappling Tournament.
Dan "The Mirror Guy" Genevesi took 1st place, 139.9lb. Division
Joe "Wildman" Marerro took 1st place, 149.9lb. Division
Victor "Apu" Millian took 2nd place, 224.9lb Division
Keith Patterson took 2nd place, 199.9lb Division
"Wrestler" Joe Ruggierio took 2nd place, 225lb+ Expert Division
"Big" Mike Heston "Finally"J took 3rd place, 225+ Division
Brandon "Animal" Greenstein took 3rd place, Kids 130lb - 179lb Division
Joe Barbakoff took 4th place, Teens 129.9lb Expert Division
Nick Mimoso took 4th place, 159.9lb Division
Alberto Soto took 4th place, 224.9lb Division(In a very spirited and emotional effort for his Mother) He submitted his first 2 opponents and did his Mother and all of us proud.
Honorable Mentions:
Pat Macke won one match and lost his second
Carlo Palencia lost his first match 0 - 0 and his opponent got the nod due to advantage points
Jim "Hardcore" Capello lost his first match
Adam Rocco lost his first match 6 - 5
Overall the tournament went great for our school. I am very proud of all of our guys. They represented themselves and the school with honor. Also, I would like to thank all of the people who came out to support our guys.
