Wating to hear how Blake Bowman, a former TUF cast member and Hanover-based Tap or Sleep fightwear-sponsored fighterdid at the Battle of Rome.
From Blake’s twitter, about five hours ago: “Headed to the arena. Time to do what we live to do.”
UPDATE: Blake lost, I believe by upkick. here’s what he said on facebook: “Felt good on my feet, nice fast aggressive takedown, good hard ground and pound. Suddenly, the lights flashed. Thanks to everyone.”
And from friend Steve Montgomery: “upkicks are lame, and that fight was not, you looked better than you ever have, you guys have no idea how hard blake trained for this fight and how much dedication he showed, he dominated the fight in everyway, never have looked so good homeboy.”
And friend Gregory L Johnson: “I would like to see a replay. From my vantage point it appeared you responded to an eye gouge, covered your eye, backed away, then took a hit, undefended. Everyone sitting by my was sitting was yelling — “didn’t he get poked in the eye?” Then you took that hit. It looked like you were expecting the ref to halt the action momentarily…anyway, you did look very good. I hope my comments are not out of place, but that’s what it appeared to all those around me….”
