George “Phoenix” McGinnis held a BJJ seminar at Elicker’s Kenpo Karate, the new location for George’s school, York Mixed Martial Arts Academy. Here’s what George had to say on facebook:
“Wow! What an amazing turn out for the BJJ seminar we hosted at our new location tonight. Nearly 40 people attended. Despite the dozen or so that could not attend- it was still a great time. Solid people, awesome questions and good ol’ fashion comradery. Thank you all for attending and supporting the event. I am sincerely touched by your support (Ouus!)”
“Last night just confirms my belief (and others) that I have finally discovered my calling. Not just my ability to teach (based on what I hear) but my ability to stay true to myself and to not become discouraged by others doubts and pessimistic nature. I am already considering scheduling a No – Gi (BJJ for MMA) seminar in 3 – 4 months. I have a great team and solid friends and an uncharted amount of support from both. This is the main reason I am slowly becoming the man that I always dreamed to be and we are becoming the team that we all hoped to be…”
