MMA Melee celebrates 1st B-day

A year ago, Northeast PA resident Mike Malast launched social networking site MMAMelee, for, as he puts it, The Movement. And he’s absolutely right – MMA is a movement, a lifestyle, if you will. Even if you don’t fight, you can join the movement and feel part of it, and in one short year, MMAMelee has perpetuated that concept. At MMAMelee, fighters, fans, promoters, trainers and academy owners can all interact, exchange ideas and network. In no other sport are fans so connected with their favorite fighters. In no other sport can casual martial artists see the strikes and submissions they do in class put on display by the best pros in the world. And MMAMelee is a part of that.
In that one short year, Mike’s seen the rise of good friend and fighter Jimy Hettes, and has also helped elevate the careers of guys like Kris McCray and Donald Cerrone. Mike has supported Tattoo Fightwear and the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge, not to mention a bunch of Pennsylvania fighters. There’s room for a little bit of everything at MMAMelee, as the humor of Greg “Get In My Guard” Gaggenwanker is on display. At the site, fighters have gotten fights, promoters have signed fighters, and events have been promoted.
So if you haven’t done so already, head over to MMAMelee, join up and jump in.
