Casey Adams, Angel Diaz, and Justin Adams at RIE’s American Cage Warriors, held in DC in late July.
Here’s a letter that Justin sent out this week. For some time, he was the marketing, promoting, and matchmaking force behind RIE, which held most of its shows on the east coast:
Hello everyone. Some of you may not have been at the previous RIE show so disregard the first paragraph. But in some way, shape or form you’ve been associated with Respect Is Earned or myself and I feel you deserve to receive this email. Thanks………
I want to personally thank all those who came out for RIE’s American Cage Warriors event in Sterling, VA (July 30-31st). I know a lot of you made extreme sacrifices to be apart of the show and for that I am grateful. Obviously that wasn’t the result Respect Is Earned was striving for, and I personally apologize for the chaos surrounding the show.
In the immediate days following the ACW event, I had a unique opportunity. I’ve since left Respect Is Earned to pursue my own goals. I was able to move forward with my own company, High Caliber MMA. I believe in representing the sport and fighters in such a light, that the promotion becomes an asset to the MMA community. I know you’ve all done great things for the sport and it would be an honor to work with you in the future.
Thank you all for your patience, hard work and dedication in regards to the ACW show and the MMA world. As I move forward in the coming weeks, I will be contacting you all individually in regards to what I plan to accomplish with High Caliber. Though feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Thank you all for your time,
Justin Adams
