DaMMAge Fight League looking to make its mark on the East Coast

A little while ago, I blogged about a new MMA organization coming to New Jersey called DaMMAge Fight League. Well, I’ve got some new intel. on this organization. First, check out these tweets from Philly fighter Tara LaRosa from today:
“DaMMAge Fight League…8pm Wednesday Nov 24th, at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ… I’M BACK …WITH A VENGEANCE!!!”
“I’m fighting Takayo Hashi at 125lbs on Nov 24th at the Trump Taj Mahal, in Atlantic City, NJ! This fight will be 5 rounds.”
Unfortunately, another fighter who was set to appear on the card had to decline, according to nobsing.us: “Chris “Red Line” Wing who was scheduled to fight for the new mma promotion “DaMMAge” MMA will be unable to fight as scheduled because of an injury incurred while training. The nature of the injury has not been disclosed by Wing’s team. Wing is currently 2-0 as a pro with both wins coming via KO.”
Also, we have an interview with DaMMAge Fight League head honcho Carl Mascarenhas, courtesy of nobsing.us:
A new Pro MMA promotion is about to begin operations in New Jersey. It’s called Dammage Fight League. The promoter is Carl Mascarenhas. Some of you might be familiar with Mascarenhas; he runs the amateur MMA promotion “Asylum Fight League”. Nobsing interviewed Carl via email. We asked him the following questions.
There are several Pro MMA promotions in the N.J./ Pa area. Will Dammage be different from those promotions? If so how?
I agree there are several promotions in the tri-state area and some really good guys run them. DaMMAge Fight League will have the upper hand on them because we are looking to build the fighter through our league not just have them get in the cage, fight and call it a night . Without getting into too much detail we are going to make the fighters in this area superstars and get the recognition they deserve. Why would they want to fight anywhere else? We pay fair and treat the guys and girls with respect, the production of the show will be …..better because we are building a culture.

What plans do you have for Dammage? Will it be strictly a regional promotion?
We will be holding shows in NJ,Pa,FL,Canada, pretty much up and down the eastern seaboard.
Other pro organizations have tried to give it a go in New Jersey, the WCA, and Cage Fury both came in with a big splash then fizzled out. What will you/Dammage do to avoid the same fate?
I have over 40 events under my belt, I built 2 amateur promotions. I don’t have a misguided concept on MMA promotions so that may be the key.
When is your first show and why should fans be interested in seeing it?
NOVEMBER 24th BABY at the TAJ in Atlantic City WE are signing top level fighters and Hosting Mark The Hammer Coleman for a guest appearance along with commentating. I would release the names of the fighters but I’m just waiting on contracts before I tell the world. (Lol some people will try to sign them before me)
