Bellator MW Champion Hector Lombard — strength, speed and skills

Trust me, you don’t want Lombard glaring at you when the only thing between him and you is a flimsy table.
MMA fans who usually only watch UFC or maybe Strikeforce, but who happened to catch Bellator on MTV 2 recently may have wondered who in the heck was the hulking dude who knocked out the other guy with one punch last Saturday.
Hector Lombard has flown under the radar of some in his career, but may not for much longer. The Cuban middleweight holds a 27-2-1 record, hasn’t lost since November 2006, and has reigned as Bellator middleweight champion since June 2009. At Bellator 18 on May 13, 2010, he recorded the promotion’s fastest knockout — 6 seconds — against Jay Silva.
According to his wiki, Lombard, a 4th degree black belt in Judo and former Olympic Judo competitor, emigrated to Australia from Cuba. He now resides and fights out of Coconut Creek, Florida with American Top Team, and was awarded a black belt by Marcus Silveira.
He is also the reigning middleweight champion of Australia’s Cage Fighting Championship.
Take a look at his highlight film — he may be on the short side, but he more than makes up for it with strength, speed and skills.
