Pudz showed some good takedowns and a couple good sweeps, but was also seemed to allow Thompson to get mount and side control fairly easily. Thompson can definitely take a punch, that’s for sure, and it made me wonder when he wasn’t defending some of Pudz’s punches if they weren’t all that hard and Thompson wanted Pudz to punch himself out. In the second round, it seemed like the plan (if it was one) worked and Pudz gassed, so he’s definitely got some cardio issues. Nice choke by Thompson too.
This KSW show really looks a lot like the Pride events, from its ring with white canvas, to the lights and the monitors. Hard to believe it’s going on in Poland.
